At Midwest Eye Care, we’re committed to improving the health and wellness of our employees. Effective January 1, 2011, MEC will not hire applicants who have used tobacco within 180 days of their application date. All job offers are conditioned upon the satisfactory results of a consumer report, credit check, background check and urine-based drug, alcohol and nicotine testing. An applicant who has received a conditional job offer cannot begin working at MEC until the results from the background check and lab tests are reviewed and approved.
