Midwest Eye CareTM has a long tradition of excellence and community service. In May 2004, Midwest Eye Care became the first Nebraska health care provider to receive a coveted Integrity Award for Service Excellence from the Heartland Better Business Bureau for our commitment to business ethics and community service. We received a second Integrity Award in September 2008. In addition, Dr. Peter Whitted was honored in 2003 as a “Heartland Hero” by the Nebraska Chapter of the American Red Cross for his community service, and Midwest Eye Care received a Corporate Citizen Award in 2003 from Prevent Blindness Nebraska for support in fighting blindness.

As a leader in the development of the excimer laser and LASIK surgery, our practice is committed to providing patients with reasonable, conservative opinions on LASIK and other refractive surgeries. Each year we advise over 40% of interested patients that they would be poor candidates for LASIK. Because Midwest Eye Care intends to treat a patient's eye care needs over a lifetime, whatever the specialty, we are uniquely oriented towards the patient's long-term eye health.
